Oxalic acid treatments for varroa control (Study)

During the cold season, about 1100 naturally varroa infested colonies were treated with solutions having different OA and sugar concentrations. Either OA or sugar concentration played an influence on the mite mortality. The efficacy was usually higher than 90% when the most concentrated solution (4,2% OA; 60% sugar) was used.
